Located in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn, Wick Pilates + Movement is a collective of highly qualified Pilates teachers experienced in both traditional and contemporary methods. Let’s make movement the best part of your week through private sessions and group classes designed to support your lifestyle beyond the studio.

The Team

Becca Jane (she/her)

Becca Jane completed her 500+ hour comprehensive teacher training in 2017 and has been focusing on helping individuals and communities feel their best. She loves seeing clients discover their sustainable “why” for fitness and find more joy in movement.

Becca Jane loves fun and challenging activities such as boxing, skateboarding, and surfing. The Pilates method won her over once she realized it kept her mind and body healthy beyond the studio and continues to support the activities she loves.

 

Georgia (she/they)

Georgia is a movement enthusiast, aiming to help people find fun and feel good moving their bodies. Coming from a background in dance and fitness, Georgia began teaching Pilates in 2017 and enjoys creating classes that are fun, have flow, and most of all challenging. They enjoy classical pilates and love helping clients progress in the method as its helped Georgia make gains in their movement practice.

Georgia is excited to move with you and can’t wait to help with your goals, whatever they may be!

 

Sophie (they/them)

Sophie is a Brooklyn-based movement artist, pilates instructor, and DJ. Their pilates practice and teaching style are deeply informed by their contemporary dance training, injury prevention techniques, as well as a love for the classical Pilates method. In Sophie's classes, the focus is always on safety & stability, while also allowing space for excitement in movement exploration and informed risk-taking. They're stoked to be able to share their passion for Pilates with their community in Bushwick!

 

Brittney (she/her)

Brittney is a Pilates lover at heart who fell in love with the practice three years ago and decided to make it her goal to become an instructor. She started this journey looking to improve her injuries from her dance career and also find an outlet for her mental health. Brittney’s background in dance allows her to experience the movement in a different light and share the practice with others. Get excited for her amazing playlist of R&B/soul, Bold personality, Pilates therapist and overall “That girl” energy!

 

Mad G. (she/her)

Madeline AKA “Mad” is a Pilates instructor, dancer, and animal lover living in Bushwick. While receiving her B.A in Dance at Point Park University, Madeline discovered her love for Pilates and completed her Mat Pilates certification with Power Pilates. Post graduation, she completed her 600+ hour full apparatus certification with Power Pilates in Chicago and shortly after relocated to NYC to continue teaching Pilates and dancing.

Madeline is a firm believer that Pilates is for everyone in every body. She is excited to show you the long lasting benefits of Pilates to help you be your healthiest, happiest self.

 

DJ (she/her)

DJ is a Pilates instructor & personal trainer who loves welcoming new people into fitness & wellness, finding movements that make people feel well in their bodies, and being unapologetically Black, Puerto Rican & Trans while she does it. DJ started her career as a strength training instructor in 2020, and eventually obtained her mat certification through Black Girl Pilates and her reformer/jumpboard certification through Spring Movement/East River Pilates. DJ is a NJ-native, and currently resides in Bedstuy. Her classes are filled with laughter, millennial R&B and hip hop playlists, and challenges for all participants.

Amanda (they/she)

Amanda is a Pilates instructor, yoga teacher, dance educator, and mover! They have been dancing since they were 3yo and haven't stopped moving since. Amanda's mission with Pilates is to encourage clients to discover and develop advocacy over their bodies through movement with others in the community.

Amanda received their Pilates training through University of Wisconsin alongside earning a Bachelor of Science in Dance. The somatic and mindfulness of the Pilates practice has been a grounding and enhancing part of Amanda's dance training. Amanda is excited to continue growing, connecting, and moving with the community of Bushwick.

 

Cheyenne (she/her)

Cheyenne is a Pilates enthusiast who fell head over heels for the practice a decade ago and turned her passion into a full-time career as an instructor. With a background in dance and a firm belief in the connection between movement and mental health, Pilates is the highlight of her day, and she feels privileged to share the joy of movement with others.

Ciara (she/her)

Ciara, originally from Tampa Florida, is now a Brooklyn based dancer and Pilates instructor. She found her love for Pilates while studying dance at Florida State University. Shortly after graduating college she began her training to become a Pilates Instructor. Ciara is a certified Pilates Mat and Reformer instructor through Balanced Body Pilates. Her passion for movement drives her in every aspect of life. Ciara's teaching is both energized and restorative. She believes in bringing Pilates to all and using movement as a form of healing for the body and soul. 

Lo (they/she)

Lo is a lifelong mover with experience in gymnastics, dance, theatre, and aerial arts. They first fell in love with Mat Pilates in 2017. Upon moving to Brooklyn in 2022, Lo discovered the power of the Reformer and earned their 600+ hour Comprehensive certification with Core Pilates. Lo values the healing and strengthening aspects that the Classical method offers to all bodies. Having struggled with nerve pain in their lumbar spine since adolescence, Lo uses Pilates to maintain a stable, pain-free spine!

Lo is a firm believer in how the mind-body connection can enhance every aspect of your life. Pilates has unlocked greater freedom in their body to enjoy the hobbies they love: dancing in the club, handstands in the park, and laughing on barstools. Get ready for girlypop vibes and grounded flow with Lo!

Jess (she/her)

Jess is a local Bushwick resident and Pilates enthusiast. She discovered her love for Pilates right here at Wick and is excited to share her passion with her community as a teacher now. Jess comes from a dance background of 25+ years. Living with a rare chronic illness, she had to take a step back from dancing. She found Pilates to be a more sustainable movement practice, and the best way to reduce her chronic pain. She completed her 600 hour comprehensive training program at Core Pilates in 2024. She loves to create fun and challenging classes that work for every body! Outside of Wick, you can find her writing in a cafe or walking her Shiba Inu around the neighborhood.
